I think this kind of mentality will help everyone. No matter, if, you're a taylor, an artist, musician or a bussinessmen ...

"Think Global, not local" ... one of the best advices ever.

It will suit exactly to the average human ...

It's like, being a musician, but, you are hitting your chest with a stone everytime, saying that ... " I play only jazz, only be-bope music" ...

If you will play it, and mostly, as it's happening, it's played and indoctrinated through music school systems to become injected as a mechanical thing learned, most of the musicians will play it just from the technical perspectve.

This takes me to the next phase and positive path to approach this idea in comparison with the fact, that, "if you speak english, but you are italian, it doesn't mean that you are suddenly a poet" ... Just by the fact that you have learned a totally new and strange language in a percentage of 80% let's assume, it won't place you to receive this "artistical" status, just like that ...

I've realized this aspect, years after years, that musicians are playing most of their time, a genre that has been learned, mechanical and from this technical perspective ... point ... no Soul, no entity, nada ...

In the same time, when you're very unique, having a personal voice, you are judged by those musicians who are paying attention only to their classical or jazz, pop music ... The list and sub-genres could be far way to long.

The most hilarious went, when i've heard this trend between the "cover" bands out there, when, they were playing, almost the same repetoire, but the excuse was ... we play this cover "different" than the others :-)

First of all, it's not your creation, you are just an interprete of the song and in most of the cases, you might ruin that song ...

Cool, right?

Maybe we are living in Times, when most of the artists, people out there are afraid to create, pretending that being "politically correct" it's the safest zone ...

Let's think twice about that ...

As an artist, you should be always an open minded and not label yourself with one genre, one way of playing and so many other silly things that will drag you ...

I've always enjoyed to collaborate and step inside of unknown musical spectrums.

Ciao
